Both get customers to the same page. They differ in effort, reliability and how they feel.
The tap advantage
NFC removes the camera step entirely. The customer holds their phone near the plaque and the page offer appears. There is nothing to line up and no lighting to worry about.
Where QR still wins
QR codes work at a distance, work on phones without NFC, and work when NFC is switched off. They are the right backup for a tap point, not a replacement.
Use both
The most reliable setup is one surface that offers a tap point and a printed QR code, so no customer is stuck either way.
